Do I need a burner pan for my gas fire pit?
A burner pan is highly recommended but not required for natural gas users. A
burner pan helps in keeping the flames stable. Using a burner pan will save you money on fire pit media. You can extend the life of your burner ring and keep everything in your fire pit dryer by using a properly
installed fire pit pan.
What is a good size fire pit for backyard?
While a small fire pit should be no more than 3 feet broad, a larger pit can measure up to 6 feet wide. There should be enough room for at least two persons to sit around a fire pit that is between 36 and 44 inches broad (including the width of the walls).
How large should my gas line be for my fire pit?
A 3/4" diameter hard pipe is required if your fire pit has a gas source that can provide 100,000 BTU energy and is 20 feet (7 meters) away from the source. The identical fire pit would require a pipe with a diameter of 1′′ if it were 100 feet (31 meters) from the gas supply.
Can you put a fire pit on grass?
The best area for your fire may be on the lawn unless you have a fireplace specifically intended to be away from your grass. If this is the case, you will need to take precautions, possibly utilizing a portable firepit, to make sure your fire doesn't leave those dreadful scorch marks where it killed your grass.
